BARCLAYS CENTER ALIGNS WITH NEW YORK’S ONLY COUNTRY MUSIC STATION NASH FM 94.7

Feb 2, 2015

BROOKLYN (February 2, 2015) – Barclays Center has formed an alliance with Cumulus’ NASH FM 94.7, the only Country music radio station in New York City. This partnership marks NASH’s first major arena alliance in the New York market.

As part of the partnership, Barclays Center will host a minimum of two NASH BASH events annually featuring top Country music artists. The NASH team will also collaborate with the arena in curating talent for additional Country shows.

The first NASH BASH at Barclays Center is planned for this spring.

"Barclays Center and Brooklyn are red hot. There’s no better partner to have for our red hot NASH Country music brand,” said John Dickey, Executive Vice President of Content & Programming for Cumulus. "We also are excited to further expand our NASH BASH franchise in Brooklyn."

“It was clear from our sold-out Luke Bryan concert last September that country is a wildly popular genre in Brooklyn,” said Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark. “We are proud to align with Cumulus and NASH, which is quickly becoming the nation’s premier Country music brand, to help grow our Country in Brooklyn business.”

In September 2014, Barclays Center launched its Country in Brooklyn platform by hosting Billboard’s reigning ‘Top Country Artist’ Luke Bryan for the arena’s first-ever country music show. Country in Brooklyn is an extension of the BROOKLYN SHOW programming franchise of Barclays Center, which focuses on country music.

Cumulus created the NASH entertainment brand based on the Country music lifestyle in January 2013 starting with the flagship “America’s Country Station” NASH FM 94.7 in New York City. In addition to dozens of Country format NASH and NASH ICON radio stations, the NASH brand will include concerts, events, online content, television programming, product licensing and a NASH insert in Country Weekly magazine. Earlier this year, Cumulus and Big Machine Label Group also launched a Country music label as a joint venture under the NASH ICON brand.
