PRESS CONFERENCE FOR PSAL BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS FINALISTS AT BARCLAYS CENTER TOMORROW, THURSDAY, MARCH 6 AT 12:30 P.M.

BROOKLYN (March 5, 2014) – The Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) will hold a press conference TOMORROW, Thursday, March 6, at 12:30 p.m. at Barclays Center that will feature the four teams participating in the boys and girls PSAL Basketball Championships.

Barclays Center in Brooklyn will host the renowned PSAL Basketball Championships for the first time on Saturday, March 8. The Division AA girls varsity finals game between Francis Lewis of Queens and South Shore Educational Campus of Brooklyn starts at noon. The AA boys varsity championship game begins at 2 p.m.  The boys teams will be known after the AA semifinal games tonight.

Speakers for the press conference are scheduled to include:

  • Eric Adams, Brooklyn Borough President
  • Eric Goldstein, Chief Executive of School Support Services
  • Donald Douglas, Executive Director of the PSAL
  • Albert King, former Fort Hamilton High School and Nets basketball star
  • Sean Saadeh, SVP of Programming for Barclays Center
  • The coaches and players from the four participating teams

David Diamante, the voice of the Brooklyn Nets, will serve as the emcee.
