NETS GREET BARCLAYS
On Wednesday, October 17, the entire Nets basketball team, principal owner Bruce Ratner, CEO Brett Yormark, and president Rod Thorn paid a surprise visit to the Barclays trading floor in midtown Manhattan to celebrate the Nets-Barclays partnership.

In January, the Nets and Barclays formed the partnership and announced that the name of the new Frank Gehry-designed Nets arena in Brooklyn will be the Barclays Center. The players mingled with the 1,200 Barclays Capital traders and signed autographs. Gerard LaRocca, Chief Administrative Officer (Americas) for Barclays Capital, Bruce Ratner and Lawrence Frank, the Nets coach, addressed the Barclays personnel. Nets TV announcer Ian Eagle was the MC. Barclays Capital is the investment banking division of Barclays PLC.
