GREEN DAY TO PLAY BARCLAYS CENTER

Sep 10, 2012

Green Day, the multi-platinum selling and multi-Grammy Award-winning music group, will perform at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 8 p.m. The show marks Green Day’s only New York City area performance during its upcoming tour.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, September 14 at noon. Tickets for the show will be available through Ticketmaster by visiting www.barclayscenter.com or www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000.

Fans that purchase tickets online will be entitled to one digital download of Green Day ¡Uno! – a $9.99 value – with each ticket purchased.

Green Day, which consists of vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool, is touring in support of its upcoming trilogy of albums Green Day ¡Uno!, Green Day ¡Dos!, and Green Day ¡Tré!, which Rolling Stone described as, "…heavier and hardened from their time in the trenches but back in the garage, ready for rapture." Green Day ¡Uno! will be released by Reprise Records on September 25, 2012 followed by Green Day ¡Dos! on November 13, 2012, and Green Day ¡Tré! on January 15, 2013. The albums are the follow-up to the Grammy Award-winning 21st Century Breakdown, and were produced by the band’s long-time producer Rob Cavallo.

As with all events at Barclays Center, arena staff will work closely with the MTA to coordinate mass transit to and from the arena based on the event and with NYPD and other City agencies to ensure safety and security procedures are strictly followed and enforced.
