Barclays Center Ranked as No. 1 U.S. Venue in Revenue Generated and Tickets Sold for Concerts and Family Shows

Jul 23, 2013

BROOKLYN (July 23, 2013) – Barclays Center in Brooklyn is the top-grossing U.S. venue for concerts and family shows and has sold more tickets in these categories than any other U.S. venue in the first six months of 2013, according to the new issue of Billboard magazine and Pollstar magazine, respectively.

Overall, Billboard lists Barclays Center as No. 2 worldwide in gross ticket sales revenue ($46.9 million) behind The O2, and No. 3 in the world in ticket sales behind only The O2 and Manchester Arena, both in the UK.

“We are proud to have become a destination venue that has been recognized globally in a short period of time,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of Barclays Center. “After receiving terrific feedback from promoters of major artists last week in Los Angeles, we are confident that we will expand our programming schedule and be in an even better position in year two of Barclays Center. As we prepare for the opportunity to renovate and operate Nassau Coliseum, we anticipate replicating our success at Barclays Center in Nassau.”
