Duquesne’s Derrick Colter Takes A-10 Player of the Week Honors

FORDHAM'S CHARTOUNY NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Colter, a cancer survivor, averaged 25.0 points and 3.5 assists in back-to-back Coaches vs. Cancer week wins over La Salle and at Saint Louis. Colter tied his career high with 27 points, including four 3-pointers, in the Dukes’ win over La Salle. The guard from Forestville, Md., followed that with 23 points in the victory at Saint Louis. Colter, who is three starts shy of tying the school career record (he has started every game in his DU career, 113 in a row), scored 20 in the second half of both games. He also had seven assists on the week.

Chartouny averaged 13.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two games last week. He recorded third double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds in Fordham’s overtime win at UMass. A guard from Saint-Hubert, Quebec, he also tied his season-high with seven assists at UMass while shooting 6-for-9 (.667) from the field against the Minutemen. Earlier in the week Chartouny tallied nine points and five rebounds at Rhode Island.

Davidson’s Peyton Aldridge scored 34 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a win at Richmond, hitting 11-of-15 (.733) from the field, and 11-of-13 (.846) at the line … Kendall Pollard scored 18 points and had eight rebounds in each of Dayton’s wins last week, shooting 72.2 percent from the field, including 8-of-9 against Saint Louis … UD freshman Steve McElvene had seven rebounds and six blocks in the Flyers win over Saint Louis … Duquesne freshman Mar’Qywell Jackson scored 10 points and had seven rebounds in the Dukes’ road win at Saint Louis … Freshman Otis Livingston II scored 18 points and dished out seven assists while shooting a perfect 6-of-6 at the line in George Mason’s Revolutionary Rivalry game against George Washington … La Salle’s Jordan Price averaged 19 points, 7.5 assists and 4.2 assists for the Explorers in a pair of road games last week … Jared Terrell averaged 23.5 points in a split week for Rhode Island, scoring 25 on 10-of-18 (.556) from the field versus Fordham and 22 points against Saint Joseph’s on 8-of-16 (.500) from the field … Richmond’s ShawnDre’ Jones scored 29 points, including 12-for-14 at the line while also dishing out four assists in the Spiders’ double-overtime win at George Washington … Dion Wright had a 19-point, 14-rebound double-double for St. Bonaventure in the Bonnie’s win over Richmond … Isaiah Miles recorded a 27-point, 12-rebounds double- double versus Massachusetts and was 18-for-21 at the line in Saint Joseph’s two wins last week … VCU’s JeQuan Lewis scored 22 points with five assists and four steals, hitting 83.3 percent (5-of-6) at the line in the Rams’ win at Davidson.
