Grammy Award Winner Hezekiah Walker, the Rev. Al Sharpton, the Rev. Dr. Herber Daughtry and Barclays Center developer Bruce Ratner to announce major gospel shows for Barclays Center

BROOKLYN (June 5, 2012) – Grammy Award-winning gospel great and Brooklynite Hezekiah Walker, the Rev. Al Sharpton, the Rev. Dr. Herbert Daughtry and Barclays Center majority owner and developer Bruce Ratner will attend a press conference to announce major gospel programming coming to Barclays Center on Thursday, June 7 at 11 a.m. at The House of the Lord Church at 415 Atlantic Avenue, between Bond and Nevins streets, in Downtown Brooklyn.

The press conference will include a special performance by Hezekiah Walker and Love Fellowship Choir.

With Barclays Center aiming to become the Home of Gospel in New York, the new sports and entertainment venue announced last month that it will host four of the most successful performers in gospel music history, Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin and Israel Houghton, for ‘The King’s Men’ tour on Sunday, October 14. Additional prominent gospel events will be announced at Thursday’s press conference.
