JIMMY BUFFETT AND HUEY LEWIS ON NEW YEAR’S EVE, DECEMBER 31 AT BARCLAYS CENTER

BROOKLYN (September 16, 2015) – Tickets for Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band’s New Year’s Eve performance at Barclays Center, featuring special guest Huey Lewis and The News, will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 25 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting www.ticketmaster.com, www.barclayscenter.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Tickets will also be available at the American Express Box Office at Barclays Center beginning Saturday, September 26 at noon, if tickets are still available. 

American Express™ Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Monday, September 21 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, September 24 at 10 p.m.

 

The show will mark Jimmy Buffett’s first New Year’s Eve show in New York City. He has recorded more than 50 albums, most of which have gone gold, platinum or multi-platinum, and is known for his chart-topping hits like "Margaritaville," "Cheeseburger In Paradise" and "Come Monday."  This year marks the 40th anniversary of the release of Jimmy's A1A album, his first Top 40 record, which includes the song, "A Pirate Looks At Forty," a perennial concert favorite.  

GRAMMY®-Award winning band Huey Lewis and The News will join the evening’s lineup as a special guest. Celebrating 36 years together, Huey Lewis and The News has sold more 20 million albums, and is known for classic Top Ten Hits such as “Heart of Rock & Roll”, “Stuck With You”, “I Want A New Drug”, “If This Is It”, “Hip To Be Square”, “Do You Believe In Love”, and “Workin’ For A Livin”. The group also wrote and performed “The Power of Love” and “Back in Time” for the hit film Back To The Future.

Barclays Center has established a tradition of featuring world-class performers on New Year’s Eve with JAY Z and Coldplay sharing the stage to ring in 2013, Billy Joel welcoming in 2014, and Elton John celebrating 2015 in Brooklyn.
